Boogie's BBQ in Nuremberg

January 20, 2021: Take-away; 2 x Turkey Club Sandwich, 1 x Full Slab Rips, 2 x Apple Sauce, 1 x Cole Slaw, 1 x Cesar's Salad; Sauces: Pineapple Express, Area 51 Ordering process and service: Absolutely top, the order process was very quick, staff very friendly, food was ready on time, fast payment process, hygiene regulations implemented in an exemplary manner during CoVid, employees wear FFP2 masks, spit protection is set up. Turkey Club Sandwich: An absolute dream. Luscious smoked turkey meets fluffy fresh rolls, spicy cheese, cross bacon, crunchy salad. The sauces Pinapple Express (fruity-sweet BBQ sauce) and Area 51 (slightly spicy classic BBQ sauce) go perfectly. Side dishes: crisp and fresh Cesar's salad, very fine cole slaw, well drawn; Absolute highlight: the homemade apple sauce: fruity, slightly sour, at the same time sweet refined with cinnamon. Ribs: The best ribs I know (and I know a lot). Nice and crispy outside, extremely tender and juicy inside; Homemade BBQ Rub is absolutely great, slightly spicy, nice fruit and light sweetness, absolutely perfect! Must have eaten. Food was nice and hot and well packaged. When it comes to packaging, attention is paid to the use of recyclable materials (especially cardboard and paper), which is another bonus point here. When you are in Nuremberg, you have to get some food!

You can actually get the best ribs in the Nuremberg district here. If not even in a larger area (> 200 km). The staff there are extremely accommodating. Drinks are available for self-service. These are collected on a trust basis! Very important: only cash payment possible!

Best BBQ in town

Was here for the first time. I ordered in advance by phone (Pick 2) and reserved a place. Everything worked out great. The brisket and the burnends were great. Likewise the side dishes chilli and coleslaw. Of the sauces, I liked Area51 the most. The huge roll is a bit dry but that's what the sauces are for. I'll be back for sure next time in town.

We came in with low expectations, and they were far and away exceeded. Having lived in Texas and worked at a BBQ pit, we had some great BBQ in the past. And since moving to Europe, we hadn’t encountered anything close to the quality from home. This place gets as close as possible. The meat is quality, flavorful, and well cooked. The sides are a little saucy but overall delicious. And the best parts were the service (so kind) and the vibe: it truly felt like we were back at our local BBQ pit enjoying dinner. Couldn’t be happier with the experience and couldn’t recommend it more! Little slice of the USA in the middle of Germany.

The service was friendly and professional. I was impressed with the taste and flavor. Only the brisket was not in my opinion as good as the rest of the menu. But it was ok. Out of the five meats I tried this is the only reason for me not giving a five star rating. Overall the food was excellent and people around us seemed to be very satisfied with their meals. I would definitely recommend it to all bbq lovers

A simple menu but all the dishes are very tasty. The place is informal but friendly and welcoming. Helpful and pleasant staff. Going back is always a good idea.

Probably the best BBQ shop in Nuremberg. Everything was great in terms of taste. The sparerips are super seasoned, the pulled pork juicy and the pastrami at its best. Location looks like a backyard, definitely has something. Staff friendly, we will definitely be back.

Absolutely authentic BBQ like in the USA! The burger, which is only available as a special on Friday, is particularly recommended. You should order the burger in advance, otherwise it can be sold out. Furthermore, all other dishes can be recommended without reservation! Pulled pork, burnt ends, baked beans ... simply delicious! ??

Great! I can not say more. If you like buttery BBQ from the smoker, this is the place for you. Make a reservation or pre-order! Pre-ordering for the (short) lunch break worked great.

Very good tasting food

Coming from Kansas City and being proud to critique some of the best BBQ in the world, I admit I came here because they serve Urban Chestnut, but after trying there Pastrami, Cole slaw, and BBQ beans, I'm shocked. Definitely the best BBQ I have had outside of USA, and one would fit right into a place like Kansas City, Memphis, the Carolinas or Texas in offering top notch BBQ As for the resturant itself, it's extremely Clear the owner is from a BBQ haven (St Louis). No one who didn't grow up going to BBQ joints in the Midwest could manage to have a place that makes you forget you're in Germany and not in my local BBQ joint.

BBQ, some like it, others ... I thought it was great, the factory premises, the whole layout of the restaurant, comes very close to the USA steal. The food is very tasty and to the point. It is best to pre-order so that there are no surprises in the evening and of all things, there is no longer what you wanted to eat. Staff was very friendly.

I could just keep eating these ribs forever. The full slab is really good and the spicy sauce is the perfect combination. Spice it up with the ribs, cool it down with the slaw, rinse it with a beer, repeat.

The environment is awesome. The music they provided reminded me of being in america. However, the food was alright. I had some of the ribs and the brisket. The ribs were a little on the dry side, but drowning them in the sauces was the only way of eating them. It was a lot of food for the price. The sauces were sub par and the only one I really enjoyed was the voodoo sauce, since it had a bit of spice. The rest of the sauces were either too sweet or vinegary. I did finish my plate and enjoyed it but was hoping the food wasnt so dry. Food tasted good but If i am craving bbq, this hits the spot

Tastes just like actual American BBQ you'd find stateside, if not better! They have added a bigger dining area. You won't be disappointed if you choose to get anything on the menu.
